My Qualifications

I am Melissa Hogan and am passionate about Centerville. I have lived here for 13 years and have spent the last 12 years volunteering for our community. I am an advocate for a more sustainable growth rate, community green space, traffic management, heritage protection and owner’s property/water rights. I can bring to the city council long-range plans to bringing prudent financial management practices, rigorous planning, accountability and responsibility to the forefront. I am committed to: celebrate, protect and strengthen our community. Centerville’s most important asset is its people. I believe a councilmember is a spokesman for the people. A councilmember must be approachable about decisions that affect them, well informed about issues and make deliberate, wise representative decisions. We must plan with a long-term vision, preserve what is valuable in our heritage, and promote change for the benefit of families today. I am married to Stewart and we are the parents of Brittany, Haley, Kaleb and Abigail. I have a Bachelors of Science from Utah State University and an Associates from Snow College; Member /National Trust Foundation, Member/Utah Museum Association, Member /Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, Board member /South Davis Regional Museum and Director /Centerville Museum.
